Chyulu Health run/ Walk program- 1st Edition.

Chyulu Development Foundation partners with Kithing'iisyo Alumni Association to deliver the 1st edition Chyulu health walk and run- 2025.
Over the years, professionals who are amongst the indegineous Chyulu and Tsavo border communities (Nthongoni) have taken the Christmas festive season to offer support through philanthropic undertakings(medical camps, distribution of tree seedlings and governance capacity enhancement campaigns)
The program takes a specially modified model each year, to remain alligned with global, regional and local development goals, priorities and standards.
This year 2025, the elite society undertook its first edition of THE CHYULU HEALTH RUN/ WALK, meant to enhance the communities' wellbeing through promoting preventive healthcare. The forum, which saw hundreds of marathoners register to participate, categorized and awarded winners from each of the selected categories. The program ended with a capacity enhancement program, which underscored the following statutes:
1. Sensitization on nutrition and dietary shifts, for a healthy community,
2. Sensitization on community medical awareness, effective disease prevention and treatment,
3. Sensitization of Climate resilience practices, with keen focus on organic farming, pomoculture, dairy and apiculture
4. Sensitization on youth employability, job skilling and vocational training.
Other partners who joined in support include JC Waters Company, The Kenya dairy board, Betika, Super power business complex, Euro bond sounds and Chyulu Honey Processors, Justus BenSolutions Maingi farmLtd, and the George Mwangangi Foundation.
The program, served atleast 250 households, and seeks to adopt this annual program as a community based culture.
