As part of their regional collaboration and cultural exchange, Dr. Mary Ndolo and Mr. Harrison Mwololo of the Chyulu Development Foundation (CDF) visited the Uganda Rural Development and Training (URDT) Cultural Centre.
The visit was inspired by the efforts of Echoes of Chyulu Tours, which promotes ecotourism and manages the Chyulu/Tsavo Cultural Site under the Chyulu Development Foundation. The team sought to learn from URDT’s model of integrating culture, environment, and community development, gaining insights into how traditional knowledge and heritage can strengthen sustainable tourism and conservation initiatives.
The exchange provided a rich platform for sharing ideas on cultural preservation, ecological education, and community empowerment, reinforcing the Foundation’s vision of linking culture, nature, and livelihood improvement across East Africa.
